This charming, though somewhat slow, production looks at eight residents of a Jewish retirement home in Connecticut (not all of these eight are Jewish) who make a trip to Israel. All of the eight are over eighty years of age with more than a few over ninety. We see them as they prepare for the trip and are given some insight into what they had done with their lives prior to the trip. They are all excited to go and when they finally make the trip they all have a marvelous time. Their journey in Israel takes them from the north to Jerusalem, to the desert, and finally the Dead Sea. The return home seems to be a letdown, for most, if not all of those who went, residents and caregivers, express a desire to go back. This production shows that we can live life to the fullest throughout our lives and would be a nice, though not necessary, addition to Jewish studies collections as well as those that pertain to aging.
