Hydrogen + Oxygen = Water. This example leads to a positive outcome. Not so with all combinations and thus the premise of Unacceptable Levels.

With the rapid advancement of science and technology we as humans find ourselves in an ever increasing chemical world. It is an impossibility to isolate oneself from this phenomenon yet we rarely acknowledge that it exists. This film deftly explains how the EPA is currently regulating and exploring individual chemicals but doing little to explore and nothing to control these same substances as compounds in our bodies.

Questions arise as to how these compounds actually affect our health. Should the EPA be regulating substances differently? Should the EPA be looking at them at all? Should we as a human race be concerned or just accepting of what’s before us?

Awareness is always a good thing and change starts with an acknowledgement of the problem. The solution is overwhelming to think about.
