With the advancement of the internet, social media and iphones at our fingertips it has magnified the problem of sexual bullying in ways we could never have imagined. How about Slut Shaming….ever heard of that? As a parent I’m ashamed to say I hadn’t either until watching this film.
The Unslut Project was conceived from the need to communicate with similar victims of sexual assault and sequential bullying. Sexting, texting and social media have provided a rapid avenue to destroy and devastate an unsuspecting victim, many times to the point of suicide. These young women need support and understanding and this film does an excellent job of addressing the issues of technology.
Bravo!! to the The Unslut Project who provides an opportunity for the victims of technological sexual assault and bullying to speak out and be heard!
