In India women are NOT treated equally. In India women are NOT treated with respect. In India women are often times NOT treated as human. Gender inequality, sexual violence, and the indifference to women in India are issues brought to the forefront following the brutal gang rape and subsequent death of a young woman in Delhi. Public outrage, protests and the need to be heard have forced the Indian government to finally acknowledge that a problem exists. This film is a historic step forward for the women of India. It depicts the widespread problem, the widespread indifference along with the acknowledgement and cooperation of the police force to recognize and change the atmosphere for the future. Change starts with communication. The cooperation of the police to communicate this film is a beginning to hopefully change the treatment of women in India.
