Reviewed by Michael Fein, Coordinator of Library Services, Central Virginia Community College, Lynchburg, VAThis production has been described as a “…reflection on the continuing danger nuclear weapons pose…” Using excerpts from public events, speeches, and interviews with a large number of security experts and activists, this film sees hope in the future for the abolition of nuclear weapons. Somehow, for whatever reason, the producers see the recent nuclear treaty with Iran as a hopeful sign of things to come. All of these talking heads and newscast excerpts are accompanied by an original piano composition composed and performed by Alain Kremski. Production standards are very high with no perceived problems with the audio or video. Those interested in disarmament and peace studies may find this of use. Otherwise, this is an optional purchase.
