The format of this program is simple and straightforward. A variety of men and women, each born before the turn of the 20th century, talk about their lives and experiences. There are Midwestern housewives, a retired sleeping car porter who traveled with President Truman, a survivor of the Triangle Shirtwaist Factory fire and others, who talk about incidents in their lives. They share what it was like to be alive in the last century. In many cases, photographs, of the speakers, as young people, are flashed behind them. One participant, works full time as a newspaper proofreader, most are retired, and all have fascinating and touching stories to tell. Highly recommended.
