Johnna Janis is a brave woman and a survivor of sexual abuse. This film is her journey through life and healing. It portrays a realistic view of what many women hide. Sexual abuse especially by a family member, someone you were taught to trust is devastating in and of itself. Add the emotional conflict of a child dealing with trust, secrecy, love and fear of that person and it is a recipe for a lifetime of anguish.

Johnna does an excellent job of walking the viewer through her turmoil. Anyone dealing with this issue will find this film informative, emotional, educational and filled with hope of recovery.

Therapy, group interactions, disclosure to those you love and many hours of personal reflection have led Johnna to find hope in recovery and peace in knowing her children will never suffer the same fate.
