Flakka is an extremely dangerous synthetic drug also referred to as gravel, “devil’s drug,” bloom, cloud nine, cosmic blast, ivory wave, lunar wave, scarface, vanilla sky and white lightening. Flakka mimicks the properties of crystal meth as it is made from a synthetic version of an amphetamine-like stimulant along with substances some of which include bath salts, pesticides and any number of harmful substances. As a result of the varied composition of the drug the reaction to it is also varied. It is highly addictive. It can be smoked, swallowed, injected or snorted and has been known to cause extreme paranoia, psychotic episodes, hallucinations, seizures, memory loss and extreme violence with just a short period of usage. It has even been reported to occur with the first usage!

This film provides first-hand knowledge from young adults who have experienced the devastation flakka can cause to ones’ life. They do an excellent job of describing the effects flakka had on their lives and how quickly it overcame their reasoning as well as their health. Any and all education we can provide to potential users is helpful and thus this video is highly recommended.
