Starving the Beast has a powerful and somewhat disturbing message for anyone interested in the state of higher education in the USA. It is suitable for use in any class dealing with issues in higher education administration, and college and university education generally. It is also highly recommended to teaching faculty, as well as citizens interested in the funding of higher education.
