It follows two Muslim women, Emna and Jawhara, with distinctly different views and upbringings, but who both seek the same thing; a functional democracy in Tunisia. Their stories supply a nice narrative of the revolution in Tunisia, as we see both women get married, have children and participate in the forming of a new government.
The film uses a mix of home videos, news coverage, interviews, and other cinematic techniques to tell its story. This provides for an engaging viewing experience, but can sometimes seem jarring with some awkward transitions. Despite this, the documentary provides a nice human element to the Arab Spring and chronicles the events beautifully. This film is recommended for anyone interested in learning or teaching about the Arab Spring as it does an excellent job of chronicling the events in Tunisia.
