Gray, Director of Media Services, Christopher Newport UniversitySpecifically geared towards teens and college-aged students, this short, but information packed video, addresses most of the questions that are brought up when young adults are beginning to think about sex. Three unbiased experts address the most important aspects of sex, such as readiness, a partner’s readiness, consent and sexual assault. Students are also featured giving their experiences and thoughts on the various topics covered. Simple scenarios are thoughtfully done and do not come across as campy or laughable. The producers did an excellent job with the sensitive subject matter. The impressive feat of this short is how clear and concise the topics are presented. This video is easily used in a classroom or other time-limited environments. The appropriate audience for this is grades 7 to early college. Older college students may find the information not as useful as the intended audience, but it might still be used.
Includes a PDF Teacher’s Resource Book on the DVD that includes pre/post tests and more. An essential video for sexual education for young adults.
