The film fits in with the limited scholarly literature describing the etiology of this rare skin condition. Morgellons disease has often been referred to as a delusional condition, partly due to its extreme rarity. However, more recognition of this skin disease is occurring as those with the disease advocate and work with dermatologists to find the cause and treatments that are successful.
