This is an entertaining introduction to micro plastic pollution, and I commend the novel approach for being captivating especially for younger audiences. The episode is set up like a news show hosted by cockroaches, explaining how humans are damaging their health and environment with microplastics. It pokes fun at the human species for being irresponsible and creating so many problems for themselves and showcases some of these in the different segments. As it’s a news show, they do interviews with real scientists, but the content of each segment is very brief. This is likely due to the short run time, less than 20 minutes. This makes it ideal for in-class viewing, and it could support lectures or be a launch pad for further readings about the topic.

This episode would be applicable to several areas of study, including general science, environmental studies, or any units/modules about pollution. It overall feels like something well suited for middle or high school students, but not for college classrooms, which is why even though there are a lot of positive aspects to it, I can only rate it as recommended with reservations.
