Linda’s Last Trip is a heartfelt meditation into 64-year-old patient Linda Patchett’s terminal cancer diagnosis and her corresponding treatment with psilocybin mushrooms. Patchett’s journey delves into friendship, family, and catharsis.

Viewers are afforded an anecdotal guide to psilocybin therapy to treat end-of-life distress with assistance from psychotherapists. This is deeply moving cinema with Patchett’s narration of personal home movies sharing past family memories. Likewise, provided is a description of Linda’s experience on magic mushrooms which affords alternative views on death and dying. A detailed and conscientious approach to a melancholy subject.

This could be a companion piece to the book Tuesday’s with Morrie by Mitch Albom. Best suited for collections that nurture end-of-life discussions.
